The Maidenhead U16 team is made up a great group of kids who are passionate about their rugby, who have made new friends for life and who look forward to each match or training session! Our focus is to teach core rugby skills in an environment which builds on the key values of rugby i.e. TEAMWORK, RESPECT, ENJOYMENT, DISCIPLINE, SPORTSMANSHIP.

Our group of qualified volunteer coaches are absolutely committed to bringing out the best in each child and giving them a great rugby and life experience. We encourage each player to have fun but to work hard to develop their skills and be the best they can.

We meet every every Sunday from early September to early May between 10:00-12:00. We also have an optional mid-week training session focused on fitness and basic ball handling skills. We have regular match fixtures and also tournaments in the Autumn and Spring, with a tour in May which everyone looks forward to!

As a team we like to encourage as parents to also become involved during the season, should you wish to. So, anyone interested in helping to coach, referee matches, be a first-aider or help out behind the scenes is always welcome. We are also a very social team and we have a great clubhouse available to us to catch up with friends after a training session.

Any new members are welcome to attend a couple of sessions with no commitment to see if they enjoy it. If you are interested in coming along to try us out or have any questions, please contact the U16s’ team manager.
