If you would like to get involved in volunteering at Maidenhead Rugby Club there are a number of ways to make it happen.
Already a member or parent of a player? Simply get in touch with your Age Group manager or Kate Swinn (MRFC Volunteer Co-coordinator – [email protected]) to see how you can help out.
If you are new to rugby and are looking to get involved, contact Kate directly.
Everyone from the coaches, referees, team managers, committee etc are volunteers, so whether you’d like to help the club out occasionally, specifically support your child’s rugby or put your professional skills to good use, we would love to hear from you.
Without the time, energy and commitment of volunteers, rugby at Maidenhead and all clubs simply would not happen.

Woji Dave Hodgson Will Runciman Rich Wendland |
These guys came in September to provide coaching to our U16’s (alongside our original coaches). Their positive impact on the players and enthusiasm alongside careful planning of training sessions and attending matches has been invaluable. They often travelled long distances to attend matches. Whilst this is nothing new for any coach, these guys did not have sons in our age group and Will in particular has a very young family with a newborn! On behalf of all of the U16 we want to thank you for a superb season and a great transition to Colts. Nomination from Catherine Harris-Evans – U16s AGM Thank you very much guys from all at the club. |

Katy Kirsop – Smith & Jon Steele |
Katy has been an valuable asset to the U6 coaching team since last year and has been fantastic. When I have been unable to attend training sessions this year Katy has stepped up into the head coach role, initially out of her comfort zone, run sessions and organised the other coaches brilliantly. The kids love Katy and she is a great role model for all of them and they are all looking forward to being coached by her at U7 level. Thank you for all your hard work Katy. Jon Steele for his support of the new women’s squad and commitment to transition our u16Gs to u18Gs, and u18Gs to senior rugby. Both receive a £10 Hawkinsport voucher. Thank you very much from all at the club. |
February | Sarah Moynihan & Peter Bluck |
Sarah Moynihan helped with the Brean socks and hoodies this season. She’s been instrumental in the coordination of the process and I’m very grateful for her seamless input and help. Peter Bluck, an U7s parent who I passed helping to direct all the traffic in and out of Braywick Park by the Toby. His kids were sat waiting in his car whilst he did that – hopefully patiently!! . Very busy Sunday with games on for us plus Comic Con on at BLC. So thank you Pete – very kind and I did say I would formally thank you. Sarah & Peter receive a £10 Hawkinsport voucher. Thank you very much from all at the club. |
January | Tom Hastings & Vinny King |
Tom has been running most training sessions for half the season in the U14s, offers to ref our friendlies if the club can’t find one, is a leading light in our tour organising committee and has organised sponsors for (and the ordering of) all our tour kit. He also organised early flights back from holiday for himself when our final was moved to an earlier kick off time so he wouldn’t miss it. Vinny for truly embracing refereeing despite your knees! Tom & Vinny receive a £10 Hawkinsport voucher. Thank you very much from all at the club. |
