Amersham and Chiltern Festival
Sunday 18th November 2018
Sunday at Amersham & Chiltern started cold and sunny.
The first game was against Harpenden and the boys played well with good team work and some great runs by Ben Bradley and Stanley Mew resulting in an excellent 5-2 win.
This was immediately followed without a break by the next game against Beaconsfield were they carried on in the same fashion and won easily 5-0.
The boys next game was against the home team Amersham & Chiltern and they seemed to loose their focus and despite not giving up didn't manage to score and were unable to prevent a strong A&C scoring several times resulting in a 8-0 loss.
The boys, however, didn't let this dampen their enthusiasm and identified what had gone wrong and were able to regroup and again without a break between games took on the OA2 team.
A tough game followed against another strong team and the boys were able to hold them to a 2-2 draw.
The final game was against OA1 and the boys once again put on a great performance and with some good defensive play prevented the opposition from scoring whilst scoring 2 themselves to finish the final game 2-0.
Overall it was a successful festival with some notable performances from Ben Bradley, Stanley Mew and Ali Hussain.
