Mohawks maintain position in race for Berks Cup!

Saturday 28th June 2014

The Maidenhead RFC Mohawks Touch Team performed outstandingly in Round 2 of the Berkshire Summer Touch Series, winning a heated final 6-4 against the Thames Valley Vikings, who are based in Reading.

The Mohawks were under pressure from the start, as the home team and also winners of Round 1, but managed to sail through the round robin games and maintain their composure to win the final.

Top touchdown scorers and MVPs for the Mohawks were Tom Simpson for the boys and Lucy Neal-Hooke for the girls.

There are now only two tournaments remaining in the series (Hungerford RFC on 19 July and Thatcham RFC on 2 August) and the Mohawks will be looking for two more wins to secure their hold on the Cup.

The Mohawks are always looking for players to join their club and try out Touch (with all the ball skills, fitness and fun of rugby but without the contact!).
